Comment: I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I got the they see me rollin wrap with salmon, and it was really good. The salmon is obviously raw, which did throw me off, but I quickly got over it. Its literally just a sushi burrito. How cool is that? The staff is very friendly and welcomed us in and started our order right away, and as we left, they were very friendly in their goodbye.

Comment: Stopped in for a quick bite and this little place did not disappoint! The store front and inside wasnt anything fancy, but if youre looking for delicious fresh food? This is the place! I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh their vegetables was and their generous portions. They can fix any of their rolls as bowls as well, which I did with the Krilla Krunch. My sidekick got the salmon and it too, was delicious! I highly recommend this place! Support local and check them out!

Comment: Oh my goodness. Ive lived in STL for the better part of the last 12 years and this was THE best meal Ive ever had here. Good service, attractive storefront and interior, good prices, and amazing food.Now, Id eat here every day if I could. I had one of their basic sushi burritos and they didnt skimp on anything. My ingredients were fresh, and the available sauces were a fun twist, too. Everything is made to order in front of you, so theres no sogginess.100% recommend! Great value and absolutely delicious. Best meal Ive had in STL over the past 12 years! I only wish I tried them sooner.

Comment: Tried them out today. Friend and I split the Tiger and Cali Gold burritos. Very tasty. The Cali Gold was my favorite, loved the addition of the fresh vegies to lighten it up and give it a good crunch. Would definitely go back. Its small inside, so unless you get lucky and snag one of the few seats, would probably say its a good to-go option. Guys behind the counter were great. Overall, highly recommend!

Comment: I used to really love this place and the food is still good, but I had a bad experience today. I went to get takeout and it took 45 minutes from the estimated time for pickup to me getting my food. I work 2nd shift at a hospital and had to eat in my car to make it on time. The worst part for me was that they were taking all of the in-line orders before the carry out. I could have gotten in line at any point and have gotten my food faster, but I had already paid for carry out. Also, one of the workers spent a long time just chatting to someone he knew in the line which was frustrating. I’ll come back to BLK at some point because I enjoy the food, but never for lunch because those workers weren’t helpful.

Comment: Fantastic food, but get it to go- very limited seating. Imagine a sushi roll the thickness of your forearm and about 10 long. The flavors were fantastically diverse in all 3 wraps we got (poke bowls with rice or salad were also available bit how often do you get a chance to eat a massive sushi burrito?). You pay for what you get- the meal cost around $60 for us. Staff was not very knowledgeable about gluten free options, but it was busy and we didnt want to hold things up: we were asking for potential future guests with food allergies. Overall it was fantastic food (a tad bit messy towards the end of the roll but Im a heathen and dont mind messy finger foods) and Id definitely order again, but next time might schedule a pickup for a picnic or a quiet night at home. One more note- as expected the food did not keep well to the following day (as expected with oversize sushi rolls with crunchy and soggy elements).

Comment: I ordered the Tasty as Cluck for dinner yesterday and got food poisoning within 2 hrs after I ate it. I vomited the whole meal and have not been able to even keep down water. The piece of chicken it came with was very large and was not cooked thoroughly. It was very fried on the outside which masked the raw center. The chicken should be cut into small pieces to facilitate a thorough cook. Beware when ordering this dish.

Everything was fresh and well put together.I got extra eel sauce on the side and og fire sauce to try, and both were so yummy, the fire sauce is a flavorful but not crazy spicy. The chips were delicious (thanks to the staff) so glad I tried them!And HOLY COW they had cream soda on tap, I was thrilled!!I must mention how friendly and helpful the team members working were as well, they made excellent recommendations, put my order together quickly and perfectly crafted, as well as were very friendly and made me feel welcome. Very small place, I don’t think it’s meant to be a sit down- seems like most people order to go.It reminded me of Subway in the sense that all the ingredients are out and then you walk through the line picking what you want. Reminded me of Poke Doke if you have ever been there (this was on par with poke doke. if you love that place you will love this place).Ordered the Krilla Krunch sushi burrito and got the ginger soda. It was good, not amazing. It was difficult/messy to eat. Good crunch on the shrimp tempura, nice sauces, very fresh tasting.It was good, and I’d recommend it to people who like Poke Doke or want an experience sushi eat (I don’t know of any other place that does a sushi burrito) but I don’t personally think I’ll be back. When this out-of-town friend came to spend the week in the area, we made a Friday afternoon lunch date to the city with four adults and two toddlers. My only complaint about the dining space is that its much too small for a place that makes such fantastic and unique food.Ive never had another opportunity outside of BLK MKT Eats to have a sushi burrito. I thought there would be too much rice holding it all together and it would dampen the flavors on the inside, but that was far from the case. The burritos are wrapped in seaweed, so if thats not your thing, you can order a bowl instead. My husband and I ordered the regular OG Fire and large Tiger Style burritos. Both were too big for either of us to finish. The burritos are cut in half and we were able to easily share them with one another. I preferred the Tiger Style burrito, the tempura added a much-needed crunch.The staff were so kind, helpful, and cheery. It felt like a good work environment where people genuinely enjoyed what they were doing.

Both were good. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 stars was because the sushi rice was around on the nori and made it soggy. Parking is very limited from what I saw. And I am in love love love I work about 30 mins away and also ordered through delivery so it actually took about an hour to get to me total and that goodness stayed fresh crispy and delicious the whole time! Comment: The Big Dipper sushi burrito is to die for. I hope it isnt really just a seasonal item! Served with a side of ponzu butter. It has a unique flavor that mixes buttered crab with a tempura shrimp. The tofu nugs are an amazing side, due mainly to the great sauces they have for dipping. The OG Fire sauce is the traditional spicy mayo you find at most sushi places and their eel sauce (no actual eel in it) is the perfect salty sweet combo. The only downsides are no indoor dining and their sodas are not very good and this is coming from someone who is a big fan of the small company artisan sodas. Nonetheless an amazing experience and a must try!

Most people get carry out and when I visited I was able to get a seat, but this place is not for large groups to come and socialize unless you plan to order to go. There are places you can take your food and eat nearby, fortunately. The food is always delicious and on point so they deserve a 5-star review. The staff were all warm and knowledgeable and they make sure the table areas are tidy. The portion sizes were nice in my opinion and ingredients were fresh! I’d like to say this was a while ago before the pandemic but I just found their review page so maybe they’ve improved. The staff was rude and the manger was incompetent and insensitive. My boyfriend was attempting to get a ginger ale and went to clarify which drink was ginger ale since the labels on the dispenser where unclear to us. Instead of simply clarifying, the representative (a young women), rudely stated it was obvious which dispenser it was. Like how unnecessary is that just answer 🙄. Then when we asked to speak with her manager to make them aware of how the representative interacts with people! . The manager says you don’t have to eat here. Point taken. I certainly haven’t been and won’t be back. I wish this company the best of luck I’m not a hateful person. This is just not for people who want to be respected and treated as if you matter.

I ordered Og Fire, Krilla Krunch, and Taste as Cluck. All three of them were salty. My kid couldnt finish her Taste as Cluck because it was too spicy for her. The portion was a little smaller than other poke restaurant. The restaurant was small but clean. The restaurant was easy to find but there were only few street parking spaces. The carry out box is unique and more than a little innovative. I am not a very picky eater (besides being vegetarian); most of the time Im just eating for sustenance and dont care that much about the taste so I rarely have complaints about the taste of the food. I dont remember the last time I ate something that tasted this bad... The burrito I ordered was a mash up of a bunch of ingredients due to the restaurant being a fusion style cuisine; the problem though was that none of the flavors or textures complimented each other and it was just a bunch of conflicting tastes in my mouth. I think they are aware of this since they tried to drown out all of the other flavors with excessive amounts of sauce. Not only was the taste bad, it was extremely difficult to eat - the burrito required me to unwrap the entire thing before being able to eat it rather than it being wrapped from the end so I could unwrap it as I ate. This difficulty eating was made worse by the fact that the guy making my burrito didnt even fully get the seaweed/rice wrap around the insides so a lot of things spilled out as I unwrapped the paper. It was very trying finishing the first half of the burrito and even though I was still very hungry after eating it, I struggled to muster the willpower to start the second half. I ended up giving up and having to throw it away three bites into it. On a minor note, it was also very disappointing to see that when my burrito was being prepared, there was fish and imitation krab that had fallen into the shiitake mushrooms (this is a minor issue for me, but there are people with seafood allergies who might go here with friends).

Comment: I just want to give a huge shoutout to Maliyah and the crew that was working 3/29/19. I ordered it via DoorDash and my driver had mine and another customers order mixed up. Not only did BLK MKT EATS make it right but they all stayed past closing to have my order ready for me to pick up. Not once did a single person give me any fuss and not one of them was rude. They were all so kind and welcoming when I got there. They even gave us extra shrimp, tofu, and sauce! I’ve never had a bad experience with them. I bring friends from out of town to the restaurant often when I have company... Maliyah was very professional and the staff was amazing!!! I give them 10 stars!!! They all deserve a bonus on their check. The owners of this establishment are very lucky to have such honest hardworking employees.

Comment: It was my first time eating here this past Tuesday. Overall? Amazing experience! The woman working behind the counter who actually prepared my food had an amazing attitude and smile. She was friendly and upbeat and did her best to make my visit unforgettable. Even the staff who I didnt interact with appeared to be a in a great mood, joking with one another and singing and whistling along to the music playing in the small restaurant. The food was AMAZING and the restaurant was well lit and clean. It took a while for them to process through the line that came after I had completed my order, but its a small setup, so thats understandable. Overall, 5 stars easily. The upbeat atmosphere was worth that rating alone, but the food certainly didnt disappoint either! I had the OG Krilla (from memory) and will definitely stop by again next time Im in St. Louis.Before leaving I told everyone it was an amazing experience and promised them a review. I hope they see this. They deserve it.

Comment: So my nephew Clarence and I decided to try BLK MKT Eats Saturday night. OMG!! This is a whole in the wall (literally) restaurant that serves burrito sized sushi rolls with unique flavors and ingredients. The people generally cared about their guests, the way you would in your own home. My experience was definitely check them out. Comment: The staff here are absolutely phenomenal. I came in here with my partner after being at the city museum for about four hours. We got in about 40 minutes before close and the place was packed. After we got in line, the line starting going out the door. On top of that, there were about four or five online orders placed. The staff handled it fantadtically, working together to get orders started and completed, calling on extra support from folx working in the back. Despite being under stocked and lacking support from the store owner, the staff working made sure everyone got what they ordered and were friendly (despite being stressed out, and having to deal with rude customers). The meal itself was delicious! Would recommend. Took a burrito back with me for a friend - who ate all of it that evening and enjoyed it.

Comment: Wow! This place is awesome! The food is reasonably priced (around $11/roll/salad/poke bowl) and super fresh. There were three women working the front stations and they were SO efficient. The line was almost to the door the entire hour my group was there and they were handling every order so quickly. I got the Krilla Krunch burrito (its a shrimp tempura roll basically) and it was AWESOME! The burrito was big enough for two full meals because of how full they stuffed them. Not to mention the fresh, home made sodas were great (and I dont like soda that much). My only complaint is that the building is far too small for how busy they seem to be. There were around 10 seats in the entire place and my friends and I came in a group of four, meaning we took up almost half of the space (oops). I would definitely recommend using Uber Eats to order food or taking it togo, but anyways this place was awesome and hopefully they upsize sometime soon :)

Comment: Just amazing. For the price of a plain burger at a sit down restaurant, you can snatch up this super flavorful sushi burrito (also available in poke bowls or salads). Several great non-seafood items as well. The burrito was a little smaller than expected, but I was full. Life hack: If an item gets a choice between spicy salmon or spicy tuna, choose to get it half and half for no additional charge. Ill be back to try the shrimp tempura.Cons: I counted only 9 seats TOTAL in this small place. Also, at this time tea and water were our only other drink choices other than soda.Ill be back!! Expect an amazing energetic staff who will help you understand the menu while moving your order quickly no matter the length of the line. You cant go wrong getting something here. Theres a good reason why this place is always packed. That said, my God, this place is so small. Eating in the restaurant is pretty uncomfortable when the lunch rush is on, and youre not going to find a seat if you come at a regular time. There arent places to sit outside with your burrito, either. Given that its a sushi burrito, I seriously recommend not ordering this through Postmates, it will be soggy by the time it arrives. They must be consumed immediately. If the place was bigger and there was outdoor seating, this would be even better. I suggest coming after 2pm weekdays if you want to sit.

Comment: I was super excited to finally try BLK MKT eats. Im a big fan of sushi and so the idea of a burrito sized sushi roll sounded like Heaven. Plus, look at all the reviews! Everyone loves this place! The hype was real and I was utterly disappointed.I got the Seoul Delicious because 1) Kimchi and 2) Gochujang sauce. Being big fans of both of those, I expected to be able to taste one of these prominently and taste neither. The kimchi was basically a mild coleslaw with red food dye. Ok I thought, well at least there is Gochujang sauce . NOPE. So overall, I had a giant sushi roll that tasted like ...I dont even know. It wasnt good. I also tried some of my wifes OG Fire in hopes that would be better. Nope again. That was worse.We also made a rookie mistake in trying to eat these like burritos. These have no backing so everything plops out of the bottom. You are better off getting a togo box or eating this on a plate with a knife and fork. I will say the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the rolls do look pretty/appetizing. The flavors just were not there for me. Im obviously in the minority, but I wont be back or recommending this place to anyone I know.

Comment: I have to say - I was really against trying burrito-sized sushi whenever it became a trend, but I am SO glad I tried it! I just went last night for the first time and it was so, so delicious! Service was quick, ingredients taste super fresh, and they literally roll your sushi burrito right in front of you! It can get a little messy, since the seaweed paper isnt as effective at holding all the ingredients together as a tortilla would be for a normal burrito, but since they give you a little box with it you can just scoop out the ingredients that fall out with a fork and still enjoy them. If youre thinking about going - do it!

Comment: After what seemed like months of trying to get a sushi burrito - I finally was able to do so. I will say this rating is 100% based on the quality of the food. I would give lower score overall for being closed on sundays, seems like a bad day to be closed, but the burrito and tofu nugs made up for it. They fuse Asian flavors into Mexican dishes (burritos/loaded nachos), and do so flawlessly, with fresh ingredients and perfect flavor combinations! Theres only seating for about 10 people here, but service is very fast and meals are prepared right in front of you. It only took one visit for me to fall in love with this place; definitely go out of your way to give them a try!

I was there for the first time today and was blown away by the quality and quantity of the food.I had the OG Fire (spicy salmon or spicy tuna with all the rest of the typical sushi roll accoutrements) and it was outstanding. The best way to describe it? Sushi. But now think sushi the size of a burrito...that you eat like a burrito, as well!!The food is fresh and the service is quick. Get there early or you could be in line for a while. I dont think Im the only one who feels this place was truly unique and worth a try.Parking is usually available on the street. If not, go to IKEAs lot.
