I have had several menu items, and alllll have been taste bud delicious. Be prepared to drop a Ben Franklin for dinner, but all the pennies are worth it. GREAT PLACE.

Comment: Went here for our anniversary dinner with family… order 3 of the best prime steaks. 2 were incorrectly cooked, my son’s Caesar salad came out in a warm salad bowl. The four shrimp cocktail while good tasting were small for the price. Our waitress was kind but after they dropped off the steaks she took too long to check on us again for the price, we showed her that they looked medium rare almost raw (she agreed) took the plate back immediately which was good … a manager (I’m assuming) brought them back and asked us to cut into them and they were the same… as when they left… so odd. He tried to offer a different steak but we were over it. He acted irritated and really never apologized I mean when 1/2 your table isn’t getting their main dish… I don’t know. Our waiter did apologize at the end. Just extremely disappointed, I wanted to love it but…Do not order steak.Probably never going back.

Comment: We were so excited to have our Thanksgiving meal here because we had such a great experience on Thanksgiving a few years ago. Im not sure what happened this year but the turkey was dry and cold. It was absolutely terrible. It actually tasted boiled vs baked. The potatoes and brocolli was cold too. The meal was so disappointing. We were supposed to have two other guests with us but they couldnt make it. Im so glad they didnt come. I would have felt embarrassed after hyping up the food and it not being great.We will return but not for Thanksgiving again.

Comment: This place is so loud, more than any other- whats supposed to be a nice restaurant than I have ever been to it, the staff is flat and seems super uninterested, my steak was dripping blood and was supposed to be medium well, they fixed it, still bloody, fixed it again but by then the rest of my party finished eating, took it to go. I hate that it was a bad experience since it was my sons birthday, I wont return!

I had french toast, sausage, potatoes, and scrambled. One of my peers ordered shrimp and grits. She allowed me to taste it. OMG! Everything tasted good. No one had any complaints. The appetizers of calamari and spinach dip were good.The Parmesan Halibut was fantastic. Only disadvantage of the Halibut was it didn’t include a side. For the price, and the small side, I’m not sure it’s worth an additional $8. Compared to other restaurants and the price points, an $8 side would be family style size. This wasn’t.Our server wasn’t over burdening us but was there every time we needed something.All in all - I’ll go back! It was a great meal and pleasant experience.

I had the Grilled Artichokes for my appetizer, Farmer’s Market for dinner, Chocolate Chip Cookie with vanilla ice cream for dessert and lemon drop martini. Martini was delicious. Highly recommend. The bartender showed me how to eat the artichokes. You have to pull the leaves and scrape the meat with your teeth. The garlic aioli it comes with was very good. The brussel sprouts needed a balsamic glaze. The corn and whipped potatoes were yummy. I wish I had gotten the ice cream in the side so it wouldn’t have melted. Overall, I had a great experience.

I went there for my birthday last Thursday and ordered the same thing and the herb butter glaze was GREEN. I was very disappointed, but because it was my birthday dinner I did not say anything. Interesting that they dont put out the usual basket of bread. I guess you would have to order bread if you wanted some. When we left about 1 pm, the place was packed and quite noisy. If youre looking for a quiet eating experience, this is not the place. The chicken was dry, but with the sauce it was fine. The char-grilled broccolini was tasty, but the stems were too hard to eat. They need to boil the broccolini first and then put it on the grill.

Comment: We went for Fathers day brunch. I made reservations weeks in advance snd had to give them my credit card to assure them that 12 pf us would show, if not they would charge my card $300. All 12 came! Service was less than mediocre. Water glasses empty for quite awhile before refilled, had to ask for ice water to get a larger glass with ice otherwise you got a small glass with just water. It took forever for food which was highly overpriced for the serving sizes. One ordered steak and it was a piece of steak with a medium twice baked potatoe.Seems very expensive at $56. One in the party ordered Lobster Bisque to arrive before her entree, entree of a salad was served and had to ask for the Bisque, dressing and utensils which we had a hard time getting anyones attention to get. We had been there previously and had a great experience but it was a different story today. Probably will not go back.

Secondly, bacon was undercooked, potatoes were HARD, salty, overcooked and burnt. Lastly, dress attire of some guest patron was extremely distasteful and distracting to say the least. Bricktop has lost the elegance and style of atmosphere, quality of food and being appealing to the Guest Experience. The host and servers did a good job though. Comment: Its very hard for anywhere to be a perfect 5 stars. That being said this place is way up there in our favorites. My family and I stopped here while trying to quickly grab dinner. We had never been nor heard of the place so zero expectations. I wouldnt say the menu has a wide range of items but everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The staff was extremely professional and accommodating (we have a 1-year-old), with a table that fit our family and room for a height chair. Steaks were cooked at the right temp and they even have a kids menu. I recommend giving them a try and we will be back in the future. Id say it is $$$-$$$$ for cost so be mindful before you go. You get what you pay for.

When you pay $20 for two fish tacos, you better get a good fish taco.Spoiler, they werent good. The fish was dry, underseasoned, and there was an unpleasant sweetness to the whole thing.My sons corndog was clearly burnt, but still served. Half the table got fries as a side (by mistake), but only my son got ketchup.The spicy tuna appetizer tasted like it came out of a chicken of the sea can. Another $20 dollars that was an absolute disappointment.Half the table got the wrong side. The coleslaw was inedible. The salsa tasted like tomato jam. The burgers were charred.Honestly, this was probably the worst dining experience Ive had in the last year.I wont drag the service through the mud too much since the service industry is struggling right now, but it wasnt what I expect from a place where you can easily spend $80-100 bucks for two people.

The filet mignon, probably the easiest thing a chef can cook on their menu and priced at $44 a pop, was not cooked as ordered. Im not sure if it was a cook in training or if the back of house was simply done trying for the day. One was ordered medium well and another was ordered medium rare. The MW steak came out very well done and the MR steak came out completely rare (aka blue rare). No joke. Now, the blue rare was edible as the meat was of good quality, so I took a few bites and saved the rest for another time. I can cook the leftovers at home to make it MR at that point. But you cant undo a well done steak, so it was sent back immediately which seemed to annoy the bartender for some reason. Thankfully it was brought out correctly the second time around.Im disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber in one of the nicest areas in St Louis is too incompetent to cook steak properly. I will not be coming back for their steak thats for sure. I may give it another shot with something else on the menu but from this first experience, I will not be running to Bricktops with excitement any time soon. I definitely tried to empathize with how overwhelmed she might have been. She seemed quite annoyed. We placed our orders for drinks. We received a few dirty glasses with lipstick marks on them. Returned them. We had to flag the waitress down to place our order as it appeared she was avoiding our table. She looked as if she was coming to our table several times but then turned back around to attend to other tables. We literally had to stop her as she was walking by our table. A couple of us ordered appetizers. We didn’t get those until the entrees came out. The food was pretty good. I ordered French toast and bacon, honestly it was basic, the star of that dish was the potatoes. I had the deviled eggs and millionaire’s bacon which were delicious. There was an anonymous person that paid for our meals and we were very appreciative of that. We did tip the waitress not nearly as much as I would like to because she really didn’t provide great service and not only that she made it seem as if the restaurant comped our meal due to poor service. She was huffing and puffing as a few of us ordered. She just looked really irritated. The other wait staff looked happy to be there. I don’t think I’d visit Bricktop again as I wasn’t impressed. There’s better options for brunch.

I’ve probably had it from here 5-10 times or more. The first two times I was given a full portion of pasta with the shrimp. The next 3-4 times I was served a half order or pasta with shrimp and was assured that’s how it came although it had been different before for the exact same price. I ordered again after than and the problem was corrected but I never asked for a refund from the previous messed up orders as I should have. My last time ordering I got two orders of pasta one including shrimp and steak but when I got home which was 20 mins away the steak was not in the bag. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager whose only solace was to give me the $10 back for the steak. Very upsetting as my time and gas was wasted several times. Not the the best way she could have handled the situation, seems as if she was being snooty and didn’t care. My entire meal should’ve been comped for the inconvenience!

That was fine who could mess that up. For my entree I order the grilled trout (pictured) with out capers. It was brought to me full of capers. The waiter took it to the kitchen and they scrapped off most of the capers and put it back in an over or skillet and brought it back. There were still capers on it and was burnt and not edible. I sent it back and order the chicken Milanese without capers. The chicken Milanese (pictured ) was beat to death and full of capers. I tried it and it was gross almost like it was made by someone who never cooked. I was done at this point the manager insisted I try something else. He could have asked the bar, not us.. most high end restaurants still have their staff wear mask as well as offer mocktails. Place seems to be headed in the wrong direction. So I placed my order and about 10 minutes later they came out to say they have ran out of artichokes for the evening. Needless to say I was bummed but started looking at the menu to pick something else and then the manager came over and said we have one left you’re in luck. So game on. Until. Another 15 minutes goes by my friends food comes out and the poor bartender who was waiting on us the whole time had to come over and tell me that they were out of artichokes. So rushed for time I pick something else and the bartender came back to us and said your whole meal and anything else that you eat is on us tonight. Even though I kept insisting that they didn’t need to do that at all it happens she said it’s because you’re so nice about it we want to do this for you. I feel she went above and beyond and went over the top for customer service and lately that’s been hard to find so we left her a nice tip on our way out the door and enjoyed our evening.

Comment: This was an AMAZING experience!!!! As soon as we walked in we knew this was going to be 5 stars. I will drive there for the deviled eggs ALONE!!! They tasted like they were ready for any cookout straight out of your mamas kitchen! Crab cake had all crab no filler and tons of flavor. The yum yum roll was overly yummy. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes tasted like a down south kitchen aunties recipe. Having the gooey butter cake ice cream on the menu was right on time because Clementines actual ice cream shop took it off their menu so we still get to eat it 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I’m so ready to go back! The WHOLE staff deserves a raise!!

Despite the fact that the restaurant was filled with people, we were seated instantly! The manager personally brought us drinks and sent a waiter wishing us a good evening. Morgan was super charming and knows her duties 100%, and in general all the staff are beautiful, fit young guys. The food is delicious, professionally prepared and will surprise any gourmet in taste! I was the only one that ordered the oysters on the half shell and they were just put down on the table, no lemon and no oyster fork. That took over 20 minutes.Drinks took at least 20-30 to have them dropped somewhere on the table. Its very good but definitely room for improvement.

Comment: My husband and I had a friend visiting form out of town. We decided to take him to dinner here. We have dined many times in the past for lunch especially when our kids are at school before Covid. We were looking forward to dining regularly again now.. But, our dinner this past weekend was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was dry, the steak had cooled and the tuna ahi dinner was cold. The vegetables with the ahi dinner was soaked in oil. All three meals were not appetizing at all such that we didnt finish our food. Our server visited only twice and very rushed.Edited: Manager reached out right away by phone and was gracious, apologetic and invited us back. I was appreciative. Interestingly, I have read other recent reviews and again, quality seems to have changed just recently. Hopefully, it will return.

Comment: I was very excited to take my best friend and boyfriend to Bricktops for special dinner and unfortunately all 3 of us were extremely disappointed! My best friend and I ate here about a year ago and it was absolutely outstanding. We both had the best filet we had ever had and just had the best dinner overall. However, this visit was nothing like the first one. All 3 of our steaks were over cooked and nothing special. I’ve had much better steaks at Outback. The Lobster Bisque & Carrot Cake were amazing but that’s it. The service we received from both the bartender and our server was below par to say the least. This is a pricey restaurant and I doubt that I will return after this last visit.

Comment: My filet mignon was pretty unevenly cooked, but going off of overall taste the steak was not worth a $35 and the loaded baked potato that it was paired with was sub-par. Also just not a great combo flavor-wise, the entrée overall was pretty bland. Bread was great though and my friend loved her chicken piccata. Our waitress worked with me to secretly bring out a birthday dessert for my friends mom, which was very sweet. And the skillet cookie was wonderful. Everyone else felt sort of OK about their dishes (sushi, crabcakes and steak frites) but we all agreed that the fries that came with the steak frites entrée was the best part out of everyones meal. It was pretty overpriced and the dining area was also very dark inside, which was strange. If I do make it back here I will be ordering something with the fries thats for sure.

The grouper was fabulous, oysters shucked and easy to eat, lobster bisque was rich and delicious and the bread pudding melted in my mouth! My favorite part of the evening was the my server, Kiani! I like Manhattans and this was one of the best Ive had, they have all the correct ingredients including luxardo cherries and a top-shelf sweet vermouth. Comment: Despite the name which for years made me think this was a pizza joint, this is a superior upscale restaurant perfect for brunches or date night. In warmer months an outdoor screened in patio is open which is appropriate for family dining. The staff is superb and management is attentive. I could write love poems about their Sunday bloody Mary bar. It gets busy quickly but the staff does a great job managing crowds and getting folks seated ASAP.

Comment: Surly service: not one smile from our waitress. She also didn’t know what beers were on tap and was unable to provide advice on a dry red wine for the table beside us. The food came in around 3 minutes: much too fast for a restaurant where the entrees are $20 - $40. This did not give us faith that the four meals were freshly prepared. Our waitress brought the check before she brought out the desserts. We felt like we were being rushed even though the dining room was nearly empty. We will not be dining there again; the food was fine, but dining at a restaurant (especially in this price range) should be a whole and pleasant experience... our experience was disappointing at best.

Comment: The restaurant was much to noisy for me, but that could have had something to do with it being 8:00 on a Saturday night. That said, the service was excellent, and so was the food, but what really blew me away was the dessert. Recommended by my waiter, the key lime pie was the best I had ever had in my life!
