Comment: It’s an intimate setting if you’re placed at a good table. We had a date and were seated right next to the staff register. The workers were having a lot of conversations that were loud so we had to talk over them so we could hear each other. Our appetizer was burnt on the bottom. The sushi was good as was our server.

Comment: I got the vegetarian roll, but sadly this thing was a tiny five pieces for $9. Then is was necessary to order another order to remotely follow me up. They didn’t offer sweet tea, which is fine, but by the time I got my unsweetened tea, I was already almost done eating. Next, I had asked them for some yum yum sauce. Never have I even eaten slushy rolls with no sauce. It seems only natural. I never knew I’d see them nickel and dime for a tiny bowl of dipping sauce and add an extra dollar for sauce. Lastly I asked for a tea to go and was charged yet again for a tea to go. So $7 for a tiny glass of tea and a tiny tea to go. I’ll be staying in the area monthly and have now mark this place off my list of places to return to. Not once was I ever informed they’d be charging me extra for dipping sauce and a tea to go. I always get a tea to go and have never charged extra for it.

Comment: Service was good. But food was horrible. The presentation was terrible, starting from the way the menus looked, cheap plastic coated, the kind you get at a trashy dive bar. I know it’s something superficial but it still catches the eye and contributes to the overall negative experience. The bowls came dirty, first time I receive food where the presentation alone makes me lose appetite. We ordered the “strongest” alcoholic drink, and it tasted like extremely watered down lemonade, couldn’t even taste the alcohol. The red snapper carpaccio’s presentation was good but the fish was very hard, terrible dish. The miso soup had an unpleasant after taste. The poke bowl was barely alright, but for an $18 dish the amount of fish you get on it is ridiculous, barely 2 spoon fulls of it. Most of the drinks we wanted they were out of, I know that’s not their fault, but it just kept adding to the bad experience. Overall terrible experience.

Comment: This food is pretty good but is expensive. The white tuna was really good and I would consider going back if I wanted to splurge. Sashimi was $20 for 4 pieces which is a little higher than normal to me. The way they were seating tables was just incredibly chaotic. I waited in line for 20 minutes just to check in which was super confusing. Then they went through a burst and sat everyone all at once. We got our food very quickly and then asked our server multiple times for chop sticks. They said that they needed to go through the dishwasher for silverware so we sat for a while with our food and no way to eat it. Then when the silverware came out the chopsticks were the disposable wooden ones. The sever didn’t know questions when we asked about the menu and just seemed lost. It was a frustrating experience at the beginning but once we had our food and things it was a nice dinner.

Comment: Me and my boyfriend were really looking forward to a dinner here. We have lived in the St. Louis city area for 5-6 years and walk by the Drunken fish all the time. Sorry to say we were thoroughly disappointed and ended up getting the check early to leave. We did know the prices going in to the dinner but were not expecting the horrendous portion sizes in accompaniment. $6 for a total of 8 fries, $10 for less than a cup of seaweed salad, and $14 for each drink that was tiny and tasted like Skittles (with no alcohol). My boyfriend got the shrimp tempura and ate 2 bites then got a box and said it was subpar and I can confirm. When we walked in, we asked for a table inside and the host looked around hesitantly and said he could try and seat us inside as over half the tables were open. Although our waitress was extremely kind and attentive (props to her)!!! The atmosphere was not great, would not recommend spending your money here.

Comment: The food here is delicious as usual especially the deep fried Philly roll. Each meal was placed in an attractive manner on all white plates allowing the color of your meal to boldly catch your eye. The waitress was polite and professional although very soft spoken and disengaging. The biggest issue I had was the smells that attacked my nose as soon as you enter the building which was similar to backed up sewer and the tables we sat at was sticky and we had to request that our waitress wipe it down again.

Comment: The sushi was delicious (those prices though - ouch!). The spring roll appetizer was...lacking. 2 rolls, cut in half at a bias, for like $20 with some sweet chili dip sauce. Our server was new, so we gave her some grace, but somebody should have really been helping her out since we were a reservation for 11. Food took 45 minutes to come out (pretty quick for such a large group). Had a Mojito that was amazing, probably one of the best Ive ever had. Same for the Asian Mary (fantastic).What stuck out to me was the door handle on the bathroom - it kept coming off every time anybody tried to open it. I figured that, considering the price of the food, the establishment would have been in top shape, but this just put me off.Excited to try this location in Edwardsville. Hopefully, since its new, itll have less quirks, staff that are a bit more on the ball, and prices that are a bit more reasonable since it wont have the STL cost of living.

Comment: This place is a vibe. Trendy, but not overly so to make anyone feel out of place. And the food backs it up. We had 3 rolls, all were fresh & delicious. The lobster roll was to die for, granted it wasnt a large portion, but our waiter set our expectations when we ordered it. Now my favorite part: the royal mojito. Its surprisingly hard to find a good mojito; they should be tart, but not bitter nor too sweet. This one was perfection. We will be back.

Comment: The food is always wonderful- I usually go to Westport but tried this one. The staff is friendly to the customers but leave much to be desired to their own coworkers. Me and several customers stood and watched how the staff treated the host who is on the spectrum (mentally disabled) they were mean to him, ignored him when he asked them questions, made annoyed faces at him and more! They made me feel so angry and 2 different diners left because they didnt want to be seated in the areas of the rude staff. I did reach out to the manager and I pray he fixes this.

Comment: We went for dinner on a Sunday night and we’re finally able to be seated at a table after more than an hour of waiting. We were excited about the food since we were starving and the wait time and high prices had our hopes up for a good meal. We were in for an unpleasant surprise. First they didn’t have enough clean silverware so the server finally brought us a fork each by cleaning it himself( kudos to him for that!). The rolls were below average and you could tell they were just rushing to make them to meet demand. We had one of their most popular entrees as well which also was a 5/10 at best. My wife and I get Japanese in every city we visit. This was a great disappointment.Only plus is that they open late and that’s probably how they get business.

Comment: I dropped by Drunken Fish to grab some lunch with my wife while walking around the neighborhood, and it was pretty good. The presentation of the dishes was what you would expect from a sushi restaurant in the Central West End, and the prices follow suit. Not overly expensive, but some of the more basic rolls are a little pricey for what you get. That being said, I wouldn’t go to Drunken Fish for cheap sushi, I would go for nicer more unique rolls and dishes. The service was really nice, and the ambiance was casual but classy. I’ll be happy to come back by for dinner some time.

Comment: I came here with my fiance on a Sunday evening about 2 hours before closing. We didnt have a reservation so the hostess quoted us about a 40 min wait. Upon requesting to sit at the bar, she confirmed with the bar, and promptly lead us upstairs to the bar.After wiping down the bar table, she sat us down. We were greeted warmly by the bartender. We ordered the sushi combo and contemplated on sake. The bartender gave us samples of sake, which were all delicious. The sushi was fresh and delicious and service was spectacular.I would definitely come back here again. Its a bit pricey, but I think well worth it.

The atmosphere felt quiet and relaxed. The order was for three of us. The sushi and pot stickers were good, however, the chicken and shrimp fried rice was somewhat bland. I added some soy sauce, which helped, but it still needed something. Overall I liked the restaurant and would certainly return.

When she finally did there was another delay. She finally came with the drinks and spilled one of the drinks on my other patrons Gucci bags(2x) she half hearted acknowledged it and never even tried to wipe off the bags. It continues with her messing up one of the appetizer orders and then having to bring out the correct order after we already ate. The manager was apologetic and comped the app but overall it was a disaster.

Comment: Before I even got my food, I noticed that the place wasn’t the cleanest. The menus were laminated and worn, the table was a little dirty. My napkin looked dusty and dirty and when I opened my napkin, I found a hair. Asked for another napkin and when I opened that one there was a dirty fork.When I brought it to the attention of the person who brought out my food, they didn’t seem to be too concerned or apologetic, and brought another napkin/utensils for me.I looked at the reviews after my dining experience and found a review from a previous worker who mentioned that they have a kitchen crawling with bugs and that none of the workers would eat there.As a person who also worked in food service, I’d strongly advise you find somewhere else to eat because this place doesn’t seem to practice good sanitation. I was completely disgusted with my experience.

The service and weird atmosphere ate always a deterrent to choose DF as the restaurant for the night. There is a single use bathroom in the middle of the dining room and the line it creates is awkward for those in the dining room and those needing the bathroom. Most recently, the busser was banging dishes very loud, which is really unappealing during a nice dinner. Additionally, they dont seat all of the tables, liking due to staff shortages but it just feels empty and awkward, which then makes the bad service even less understandable.

Comment: Long wait for food despite clearly not busy. I found my food at best to be barely tolerable and left about half of it at the restaurant uneaten. The gf did think hers was decent. Slightly overly priced. Cherry on top was the manager loudly yelling and pointing us out to a waiter to make sure we werent dining and dashing as we were walking out after we had already paid. Comment: Wish I could say better things and this is not a slam on the overworked and short handed staff, but we only had 2 silverware rolls at the table with no extra coming as our party joined us after requesting more twice. Ordering a cocktail, even beer took on average 11 minutes to get. The food was so-so, we all ordered an appetizer to share and one was not forgotten. No big deal it happens, but having to flag down another server to get it for us... mind you we still received no more silverware or napkins yet....is ridiculous at the prices they charge. When the forgotten app made its way to the table, so did the soups and salads for those that included them. Then the chicken was so dry you could hardly cut it. I hate to say it but the CWE location cooks need some help or retraining and the wait staff needs some more training and emphasis on their tables. They obviously had food runners and knowing we needed silverware because we asked twice, then knowing we didnt get one of our apps, not his fault..I get that....he should have at least offered an apology and payed better attention to us. Not impressed at all, the food was the biggest let down. So expensive and unedible, its a shame since the Westport location was really good, I had super high hopes for this one. Will not go back.

They had it ready and the sushi was warm when my wife ate a bite in the car right outside the building. How can it be warm unless it sat out at that host stand for 10 or 15 minutes? Disgusting. Theres all you can eat sushi for $20 thats 10x better than this. I spent over $75 for warm sushi.

Rolls were a bit smaller than Im accustom to, especially for the price point, but they were good. Id recommend ~3 rolls per person if you want to be full.

Comment: I started coming here a few years ago and it was great. However since they reopened after COVID, they have gone downhill fast. I have been back 3 times now since COVID and each time has been worse than the last. The food no longer has any taste, the staff has apparently no experience in the services industry and the venue is clearly run-down and management has not paid any attention to upkeep for quit some time. I was going to give it 2 stars because the staff was nice, however they completely forgot about us in the corner for 20 minutes so 1 star. This was the last chance. No more.

The sushi was amazing and the chicken fried rice was equally amazing. We had the drunken fish roll and the starburst roll and for dessert we ate the strawberry cheesecake makimono. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Honestly the food isn’t even what I want to complain about, it was the service. We got sat had to wait over 15 minutes just to be greeted, our waitress took our order and we never saw her again. The bartender ended up basically taking care of us. She ran the food and drinks, got us side sauces, ended up filling our waters after she let our waitress know we were out. Even after she gave us the check and to go boxes still never saw our waitress. Her service made me Not ever want to go back. Service is everything the food could’ve been horrible but if I receive great service I feel inclined to come back for at least the ambience, but no. The bartender she worked I will give her that! She got the tip from us for sure. I saw her helping so many tables out in our server section! Ended up giving her $40 and the waitress got maybe $10 only because I’ve worked in the service industry for years and I can’t not leave a tip and have a good conscience. We were literally a 2 top table and never ask for much No excuse on not being able to check in at least. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and 1 drink. Super simple.

They were stingy with the filling, as it was mostly rice.My Yakisoba had boiled and then stir fried beef, with no marination, leading to it being heavy, dry, and tastless.My chicken doburi was sour, it was served with plain iceberg lettuce was has no flavour to begin with. And pre packaged pre cut grated carrot. The dressing however was good.I dont know how these guys manage to get best sushi, or best anything.Does not taste authenticWill not be returning

I went to click submit at 10:01 and it said it could not go through and it was past the time to order for the evening.I called back to drunken fish and explained the situation and double checked they didn’t close until 11 pm. I was told “yes we close at 11 but we stop taking online orders at 10 to assure the person ordering gets here on time”. I assured them I would be there on time, could pay ahead and asked if I could order over the phone. I was told no, BUT I could drive in and order at the host stand in person & wait for my order. I explained I did not want to wait 30 minutes in the restaurant waiting for my food to be ready and it would be more time effective for both parties if I could order over the phone. I was told “okay, just a minute”Ultimately I was placed on a hold and a new voice came on “How can I help you”. I re-explained what happened which is again frustrating.I was told that they couldn’t place an order or take payment over the phone and that my only option was to come to the restaurant in person, order at the host stand and wait for my food to be ready or see if a third party app would let me order for pickup.I ended up ordering pickup for drunken fish through Door Dash (which takes online orders until 30 minutes before close) *make it make sense* & I will be going in to pick it up in 30-40 minutes when it’s ready.At the end of the day it was just a very frustrating and wildly unnecessary run around to put a customer through and better systems should be put in place.I write this in hopes drunken fish improves their customer service as I do enjoy the food

Comment: All five stars go out to Richard!As a restaurant industry worker, I had heard about guests ordering everything themselves at the table. I was excited to try it but soon realized this new way of using Toast was a swing and a miss for me. The food was decent but I soon realized I was so busy trying to order another round of drinks for the table or split checks that I was not fully able to enjoy the meal. I also felt that it lacked human interaction. For me, I love being able to go out and get to know our server. The food runners in this case were not very personable and I felt as if I were the server. It might be fun for those who are not use to using the Toast POS but it left me feeling weird about who’s receiving my tip and whether I should tip out the food runners when I took the orders.The standout of this meal hands down was RICHARD, the busser! I have never left a review anywhere and have felt the need to applaud this man almost four days later. Even though the whole table felt this meal lacked human interaction, Richard made up for it all!! We all went home talking about him and how he made our week and made the experience. This man deserves a raise!!! His continuous friendly smile and positive attitude when working made us naturally spark conversation with him. A natural to the service industry! I have never seen someone enjoy their job more than this man. I can only hope he is being compensated for his work because we were speechless with how he went way beyond his job description. We can’t wait to come back and see Richard, hold on tight to him.

The ordering with no interaction was a best not enjoyable. I get reading the menu via scanning, but a waiter should still take the order. Half of the staff were rude. I asked about getting a spicy tuna hand roll, and two different staff looked at me like I was crazy. One said no, they definitely cant make that. I find a manager, finally get it made. SmhSo mid January while its 32 degrees outside, me and my date was seated near the Rideshare Food entrance. Each time someone would come to pick up some food, the door would open, essensially freezing us. The hostess told us that was the only table they had that was available. after about 20 mins, we complained again because we kept noticing people walking in and immediately get seated at a few of the tables we inquired about. The hostess acted as if she didnt care and as if we were bothering her. We just packed everything up and left. This was a terrible experience. We couldnt enjoy the food because we spent our time there trying to keep warm. I will not be returning to this location, i will gladly take the drive to the Westport Plaza location.

The food and the atmosphere was so beautiful that I had to visit again Sunday! So Quick seating outside since the weather was beautiful!! Ordering food was actually easier & my opinion better online. Ordered & the food & drinks came out fast and warm. Sunday was just amazing night weather, staff was very professional and just fun to talk to. When my wife arrived at 5:30pm, there were 40 other people waiting for their food. Some had pickup times at 4:00pm and still hadnt gotten their food. My wife was told that the food wasnt even started and it would be another 2 hours. There was no notification to let us know food would be delayed and it was obviously too late to put an order somewhere else. We have kids at home that were waiting for dinner and we wanted to do something special as a family for Valentines Day. We were refunded, obviously, but that doesnt cut it. Too many good restaurant s are struggling right now for you to be doing this to people.Update: Im not deleting this review so that you know it exists, but I did have a very constructive conversation with management about what went wrong and what could be done in the future. I am not happy with the initial experience, but I appreciate the personal contact to work through the incident. They were very professional in learning from this situation.

Comment: Ordered 4 rolls including 1 specialty roll + a seaweed salad and thought it would be enough food. Beside being mediocre at best, it was equivalent to only 2 rolls compared to the amount of sushi you typically get at other restaurants. For $45 before tax/tip, this was extremely disappointing. I can’t comment on their atmosphere/staff as I only picked up. I would not recommend this to anyone else and will not be returning.

Comment: Had lunch there with my sister last week. Service and food were both great. We especially enjoyed the lobster spring rolls- delicious!We chose to dine in although we had originally called for a patio reservation, there were no problems or any wait. They took great care of social distancing protocols, sanitization, etc. our temperatures were checked upon entering. Everything was digital, we ordered and paid through their app/website to avoid contact and the food was brought to our table without close interaction. There was some issue with the mochi not being throughly frozen, as we had paid upon ordering they kindly offered us the choice to refund the dessert or trade it out for something else- we stuck with our original order, but the manner in which things were handles was very professional.We will definitely be returning!

Comment: I just had the worst experience ever at Drunken Fish CWE. We arrived at 10pm, placed our order via mobile app at 10:15pm. We recieved our appetizer at 10:40pm had to remind them about our drinks, received our soft shel crab at 10:54pm...We had to have that removed it was old and looked terrible. After an hour had passed and we still hadnt received all of our food we had them to remove the remaining items. I will NEVER go back.

Comment: I ordered a White Tiger roll and Starburst roll like I usually do. The Starburst roll had no honey wasabi mayo, and the White Tiger roll did not taste fresh as they usually do. I called to speak with the manager and he was very rude in his response stating he would replace it but for future reference they dont replace call in orders. So assured him if thats not normal policy do not make exceptions on my behalf as my goal is for you to understand that I am a customer who paid for quality food that I did not receive. He then proceeded to say that hes never gotten a complaint on that roll. I am literally discussing food that I paid for not any other customer. I have been a long-time supporter of Drunken Fish, but this managers disregard to my concern about money I spent for a quality product I did not receive is unacceptable. You have to scan a QR code and scroll through 4 or 5 different menus to see everything. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. The only think is they forgot to make my moms entree. Comment: This place is DIRTY!!! Everyone was nice but we sat at a filthy table with trash and food all on the floor. Really unbelievable. Even the windows were dirty. They ask that you order by taking a picture of a barcode on a piece of paper which really isn’t a big deal but the plastic container that holds the paper was sticky and had old food all over it. We were so disgusted we just got up and left-especially with covid being around. I hope they get it together soon!! Clean up!!!!

Comment: Me and my family of 6 went yesterday and ordered alot of food and the service was horrible. I mean horrible. You first have to order your food on your phone and the never came back to check on us to see if we needed any assistance which we did. They dropped off out drinks and food and never came back. We had to search for someone to give us silverware and napkins and had to beg someone to give us refills on drinks. I understand the virus is out but if your going to reopen you still have to serve people the correct way. That part that piss me off the most was our bill was $152 and the force you to pay tip which was $180.00 after tip was forced. Maybe service was horrible because you pay for your food before you get it so maybe they feel once you get food their service is not needed any more . We never going back!!

I arrived on time to have dinner with 3 friends but they unfortunately came 15 minutes late, and although the place was relatively empty the hostess didnt allow me to go to my table. Comment: I dont know if we came right after a rush or what but the service was slow and seemed very unorganized. We were seated, the table behind us was dirty and stayed dirty for approx 30 minutes. The manager was helping somewhat but he walked by the table at least 5x. And as a manager, youve got to be ok with helping when there are shortages.Our server was helpful and attentive but that didnt speed up the food. 15 minutes for one app... the entrees came out after about 30 minutes. We were hungry and it was hard just waiting. The edamame hummus was good and doibring Ive never had. The Gyoza was good but not exceptional. The lobster rolls were very yummy. My children enjoyed the Miso soup. The California roll was not devoured as usual so it was just ok. I enjoyed my Wonder Woman Roll as it was refreshing and fresh. But overall not enough choices and we were not overly impressed. Well keep looking for a go to sushi spot.

Comment: Went there over this past weekend and I did nothing but brag to my fiance about how this was the best sushi in stl I talked the place up from my house which is 50 mins away all the way to the restaurant. We got there and yes I understand it was the weekend and they were busy but geez la weez to be treated the way we were by the staff was not cool at all. I had to ask three times if they had a table for two and got ignored the first two times. Finally we get seated and my fiance has never had sushi before so I start off by getting some basic rolls which wernt to bad took about 40 mins to relieve the first two rolls. I then proceeded to order a Superman roll and red dragon roll one was 16.25 the other was 13.50 so Ive spent a good 50 bucks on rolls all ready. It took another hour to receive my other two rolls. Never again will I go back there it seems the place is going down hill or something. Definitely not what I remember having last year and just not a good experience for my fiance first time. Really wish I wouldnt have spent close to 100 Dollars there just not worth it!!

Comment: Update: I got in contact with management as the reply to my review suggested. After four days I did get a response thanking me for the feedback and apologizing for the experience, this person asked me for my number and best time to get a hold of me to discuss my experience. Within hours I gave him some additional data and the requested information. It has now been about two more weeks and have heard nothing further. This is reminiscent of the waiting I did during my visit and its just re-affirming in part why I will not be returning.I would have given a higher rating as I have been here before, unfortunately my most recent visit was quite disappointing. The food that came out was not crafted with as much care as I have grown to expect from this establishment, there was a shrimp tail and casing buried in one of the rolls that I bit into unknowingly. I believe it was greatly overpriced for the quality of food seen here. Our waitress disappeared for long extended periods and there were only 5 other table tops in the entire place max with other servers. After dessert was ordered it took twenty-five minutes for a manager to come out and tell us a mistake had been made and they were starting on it now, it was removed from our bill. Our visit for a party of three ended up being just minutes shy of two hours. I do not think Ill be returning, there are better places around to get to sushi with better service.

I work in the restaurant industry and hate making these kinds of reviews because Im understanding about it but this was kind of ridiculous. We had made a reservation 6:30 and when we got there, they said there was no reservation and then the host gave us an attitude about it. We ordered drinks and appetizers and after over 30 minutes, we got our appetizers before our drinks even came out. The food was great when it finally came out but then paying our bill took another 25 minutes. The place wasnt even that busy. Id recommend the food there but definitely get it from doordash because the service is just not up to par.

Mind you, we were seated at 3:00 and 3:34 is when a server finally came to our table. Then after we ordered the dishes that came out were not the dishes ordered fo half the table, so we had to play the waiting game again.When getting ready to eat, we poured soy sauce out of the container on the table, gnats came out along with the soy sauce. When we asked if they had experienced it before, they said that well they could leave the soy sauce containers on the inside until they had a table outside, but it would not make the presentations of the tables outside look nice. That sounds like a huge health concern to me.When the new food it came out, it was overcooked including the sushi. The Philly roll had completely cooked fish in the middle instead of the regular raw fish that you order sushi for most of the time. Overall would not recommend it to anyone. It was just horrible.

I was also sad to read the fine print on the menu and realize that the “crab” in most of the sushi rolls are actually made out of some type of white fish. Sadly, if I want this quality of sushi I can just get a $6 roll at the grocery store. I used to love this place and they used to have such a larger selection for their happy hour that it was always worth it but things just have changed. It may have been later in the evening on a Thursday, but the place still had plenty of guests, and time & day is no excuse. Personally, this falls on the management, as the staff take their direction from them. High standards, especially at this price point, should be the goal.The sushi roll choices can be overwhelming, more so if your server doesnt explain them well, and there are no pictures to go by either. If you are not feeling adventurous, stick to the traditional offerings, and you will be fine. The more exotic flavor combination rolls can be outstanding. All in all, a solid C (A-F). Will give it another chance, but unless this was an aberration, there are better options.

The miso soup was cold. The sushi was mediocre at best. The only thing that was tasty was the sake. Its hard to mess that up. This place is a waste of your time and money. Go elsewhere.

Comment: Went here to grab the lunch special and called in our order. We went 10 minutes later and waited for 17 minutes at the counter, without anyone asking for payment or even our name. When the waiter came and grabbed our payment, he took 10 minutes to come back with our payment. The rolls are good but the service time and efficiency of the staff is atrocious. I will not be going back here for anything. I spent 27 minutes at the restaurant waiting on a call in order and that is unacceptable.

Comment: I went there and sat at the bar and had the best customer service! My server was great, and my food was delicious! The men working the sushi bar were also very friendly. Overall it is a great atmosphere, with a welcoming staff!

Comment: I went there after a recommendation. Id say it is an excellent location, atmosphere, and (staff) service. Ordered Edamame hummus ( great appetizer if you dont mind a sweeter ending flavor ), soft shell crab (probably the freshest one I have tasted so far), and sashimi was also very fresh. The only disappointment was the sushi: the making of rice can be improved, and the way they cut fish (too small and too thin) can also be improved.

Comment: The sushi was over priced for the quality/quantity. I ordered the spicy butterfly shrimp. It was not spicy and the shrimp was a thin little sliver on top of each piece. I could not taste any shrimp. I also ordered the strawberry cream cheese desert. (I forget the name). This, I highly recommend. It was fantastic. Next time I eat along the Maryland/Euclid area (not here again) I will stop by for desert.

Comment: Its an Ok sushi place. Problem is parking. Service is just Ok not as good as many other sushi places. Place is more than half empty and they place us right next to other people cramming us in. I dont know why restaurants do that why dont they spread people out a bit more. Cwe in general is just kind of an overcrowded scuzzy trendy place but if thats your thing great.

Comment: Terrible service. My initial dish was terrible and I had to send it back. I had to flag someone to complain because our server never checked. Needed a knife. Had to ask twice. Eventually got two dirty knives. Server never refilled our water glasses. Plus long waits for everything except getting the table. All in all, a lousy dining experience.

Comment: My friends and I go to drunken fish fairly often. Their sushi is always delicious and the noodle bowls are also tasty. However, their service was a little bit on the slow side even though we went at an off-time on Saturday (around 3pm). Our server was friendly, even slipping his phone number to my roommate!

Comment: Visiting from Houston & sisters wanted to try karaoke here (Mondays). Seating process was confusing & unorganized for the upstairs area- hostess tried to explain how the bar was full but we didnt request bar seating. Once we made it upstairs, the karaoke set-up was akward- understandably. Black tarp paper covering a back section (renovations?). We had to request better table & then had to flag down someone to take our drink & food orders- waited over 30 mins. Overall: customer service was lacking, drinks were top-notch. Fried rice variations that we we tried were unappetizing & over-priced. Karaoke was a blast & the crowd was fun. Confusing policy about happy hour specials as you had to be seated AT bar, and not in BAR AREA for that pricing.

Comment: Just had lunch. We arrived around 215 and missed the lunch menu. They were out of house sake, and the food was barely adequate. I know sushi restaurants have tailored their menus to American tastes but this was exceptionally bad . Service was good and the food came out quickly but I have to wonder if it was made ahead of time because thats how it tasted ( sushi rolls). Maybe Ill try again for lunch, but Ill never pay those prices again for what I received.

Comment: My girlfriend and I came for dinner and the interior is excellent. Jeremy is a great server, he was attentive, and he was familiar with the menu. The music is not the greatest though, it stands out like a sore thumb. Its mainstream, like it came from a tween clothing store, which could fit the theme, (Japanese music). I gave it four stars because of the music.

Comment: I dont know if its because were two guys or if its because were black, but if I was going to pay to be ignored Id go to AMC to watch a movie. George B is by far one of the worst waiters at Drunken Fish I was excited about getting sushi from my favorite sushi spot....(definitely re-evaluating favorite). The Waiter paid more attention to the white couple next to us and the large group of young white girls in the section. Only time he came to the table is when we flagged him down. Hey on the bright side because of his horrible service we didnt want to order more drinks so the bill capped at $75. Doubt Ill be back any time soon, thanks for the horrible service George.

Comment: Whatever you look for in a restaurant, Drunken Fish probably has it. It occupies two floors of prime real estate in the CWE. It has excellent happy hour deals. The food is good, the drinks are fun, the service is great and the atmosphere is sleek.Scarce parking, pricey dinner plates and signature drinks are holding back the final star, but those minor details arent enough to keep me from going back again and again.

Comment: I go to lunch at Drunken Fish in the CWE at least once a week. There are two reasons why this is one of my favorite restaurants, 1) the staff is the friendliest you will find. They make sure that you are recognized and taken care of. 2) the food is consistently good and plentiful. If you want a good and plenty luncheon restaurant, go to one of my favorites! Yeah Drunken Fish!

Comment: Very nice atmosphere. The waiter I had was VERY friendly and very knowledgable of the menu. The staff was very welcoming as you were escorted to your table as well as leaving. Service is great along with the food! Will definitely return here soon.

Comment: I absolutely loved this place! The sushi there is so fresh, I had the salmon sashimi and the Spiderman Roll. My husband had the Kamikaze Roll which was recommended to us by our server, Sean, because my husband couldnt decide between white tuna and red tuna and that roll had both. Sean was GREAT! He gave us this business card at the beginning and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. The environment was fantastic, especially for date night. Will definitely be going back!

Comment: Ive never had a bad time at the drunken fish.Their happy hour specials are great if you like a fruity interesting mixed drink. There upstairs is a fun bar scene, not too crowded not too loud. Just right.

Comment: This is a high-priced fancy modern sushi restaurant. Both the sushi and noodle bowls are very good. I am not exactly a sushi expert, so luckily our waiter was very knowledgeable and made some very good recommendations. I do not like sake, but they have a large selection of that.
