Comment: Good but not amazing (by STL standards), Id say. My sushi rolls seemed pretty rubbery. The texture of the rice was like that which I get from grocery store sushi--itll quench the craving, but its dense and gummy.The real loser, however was their crab rangoon. First of all, 3 pieces for almost $5? For that price I had high expectations. It sucked. It was greasy, limp, and the filling was skimpy.So, 3 stars it is. Theyll do in a pinch, but it was nothing to write home about.

Comment: I ordered on doordash so havent been to the restaurant in person, but wanted to add my review here too. The food from here is AMAZING. Got some ramen and sushi and both were so delicious. I also decided to try their strawberry boba milk tea. Boba is always hit or miss for me because Im not a big fan of strong tea taste. But the boba I got here is the best one Ive had so far, no joke! Didnt taste like tea at all! Definitely recommend this place. Awesome quality and fair prices, cant beat that!

The sushi taste so fresh and good forgot to grab a pic. Very conveniently located in the heart of north county and very reasonably priced. The Mango tea with the Jelly boba was great and The Customer Service was above and beyond!! Comment: 10\10!! 5star experience! For a small sushi/hibachi restaurant this place was amazing. The staff were incredible friendly, the atmosphere was calm and serene, the environment was clean, I honestly have no complaints. My partner got the hibachi teriyaki chicken and I got the ichiraku ramen. This ramen was amazing! The broth was so flavorful and the chicken was fantastic! The noodles are cooked perfect and not too thick. My partner says the teriyaki chicken is the best he has ever had! The veggies were seasoned and cooked great and the rice was very flavorful! Our food came out about 7 minutes after we put in our order which is extremely fast! Overall an amazing dining experience and will 100% be going back!!!!!

Comment: Everything my coworkers and I ordered here was AMAZING. Try the Zeno Roll with lobster. I had them add a slice of serrano on top of each piece and it was the perfect combination of sweet, spicy and crunchy. We will definitely be back to try the Ramen because when we were there we saw others pick uo the bowls and drink the very last drop of that broth and they would close their eyes while doing it too lol. Thats gotta be a good sign 😃

If you’re used to the rice in the sushi having that rice wine sweet vinegar taste and being sticky this is not the place. The rice was did not give that acquired sushi flavor that is sticky. We were asked about our drink selection a little bit after we seated ourselves. We have a small child, and was accommodated with seating for her as well.I tried the Japanese strawberry soda, which was real interesting and something different. It tasted pretty good, but I shouldve gotten two of them.My wife got the Hibachi Steak & Spicy Tuna rolls as her appetizer. I got Crab Ragoons as my appetizers. Mine were fried to perfection and dressed up nice on the plate..Good Presentation. The Hibachi Teriyaki Chicken was good. Noodles were cooked right and the chicken had just the right amount of Teriyaki.Our server started getting alot of Door Dash orders, so he wasnt able to get our check in a decent time when we were done. I was full and ready to go home lol. Thats my only tale away. The food and customer service was good.Will definitely be back in the near future. This place definitely surprised me. Coming from someone whos lived years in Japan proper, the ramen rates as some of the best Ive had, and Ive had ramen from Hiroshima to Sapporo; from California to Florida. The tonkotsu broth is delicate, correctly salted, and not greasy. The noodles are perfect, though the only thing missing from traditional ramen is choice of noodle preparation (firm or soft), but I havent asked. All the additional toppings are all accurate and delicious; I would eat the ramen eggs as a dish all its own if I could.The fried rice dishes are equally subtle in flavor; not overly greasy, cooked in light soy sauce would be my guess, and the chicken glaze and chef sauce are equally light in flavor. This is not your overbearing fried rice.The American style sushi rolls arent my thing, but the ones Ive tried are all pretty good. I like the simple rolls myself, but youll find a wide variety of amazing options. They have unagi (BBQ eel) get that, too!And the appetizers? Both the seared tuna and the takoyaki (octopus dumplings) are amazing. The takoyaki is a traditional Japanese food and the batter comes out perfectly; golden outside with a soft, rich inside. The toppings, again, all great. The BBQ may be a bit on the sweet side.The service has always been nice. If youre there when the owner is there, he will gladly talk to about himself and his food. Great guy!Parking lot and getting inside is pretty easy to navigate. The interior is very clean, but not a lot of decoration, it feels very open. Traditional Japanese restaurants are very small and filled with cozy nooks. Cant hold that against them, but thats the last thing holding the restaurant back from being near authentic.If you go, I recommend a hot green tea, takoyaki, and tonkotsu ramen.PS: I think the owners a fan of One Piece. See if you can tell when you go... :)

Comment: Ive eaten at a lot of Hibachi and Japanese steakhouses, but this place is by far the best Ive ever had. Everything has way more flavor than the other restaurants Ive eaten at. I lost most of my sense of smell about 5 years ago (which does have an impact of the taste of food) and I could still taste the seasoning and flavor of every dish. DEFINITELY recommend the Laugh Tale Roll and their flavored teas. 3 out 5 stars would definitely recommend (Rizzuto Show reference)

Comment: Quaint Japanese restaurant that opened 7 months ago. My husband and I were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary and decided to try something different in our local area. After reading the online we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was well lite on the outside making it easy to locate. The atmosphere is very pleasant and calming with cultural music playing in the background. We were greeted as we walked through the door and was told we could sit anywhere. Our waiter came to our table, answered all of our questions and took our order. We had crab ragoon and egg rolls for appetizers Ann Valcano roll and lobster tail with noodles for the main dish. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the experience and will return. So happy to have such a delightful restaurant in North County!

Its hard to find quality food in North Country, so I had to give it a try.The 2 stars are for the Sushi, Tempura, and server. It was pretty good.However, the Hibachi rice and steak and Hibachi with noodles were poor. The rice was not your typical Japanese rice by any means. Think Chinese rice. The steak... well, lets just say it was not giving “hibachi” at all. This was a total disappointment. Maybe the restaurant caters to the neighborhood. If so, it explains the less authenticness of this establishment.Hopefully, the owner can read the reviews and take into account that an adjustment to the cook/ menu may be worth a look.

Until we walked into Kasabi!! Owners buy fresh fish daily, which brings the best freshest sushi., weve had here, which is saying alot about the passion and love for their food. The hibachi and Roman are absolutely delicious a must try as well. Great family owned establishment with a passion for food and fresh quality fish/ ingredients. When the owners have love for their products, it shows! Outstanding customer service. You will not be disappointed in any dish on their menu.

While there are only a few sushi/Ramen places in stl, Kasabi is a strong contender for the top spot. I highly recommend the shoyu as it has that deep beef flavor! Comment: Had the seafood ramon and was very impressed. Not that cheap stuff we ate in college back in the day. Very complex light broth, noodles done right, toppings are a delightful mix to the dish. Love the octopus balls. Used to drive all the way to Memphis for those, but now I can get them right here in my own neighborhood. Sushi is good. Lots of variety. The owner came to our table and spoke to us after the meal to make sure everything was perfect and it was. I liked the personal touch keep it up. Will go back.

So I am VERY particular about my seafood and sushi. I will not eat it if it has any fishy flavor.This was amazing.I got the ocean roll, a side of fried rice and a side of steak. Husband got the chicken and steak hibachi meal, and we got an order of the chicken egg rolls as well. And I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to be tasting flavors that taste VERY similar to the flavors back home in Seattle. (It’s been hard for us to find the same flavors here in Missouri that we also find in Seattle) I cannot WAIT to come back to try the ramen!Service was on par, kind, and VERY child friendly as we also had our 1 year old with us.We will definitely be returning. I can’t believe this place only just opened in February. It feels like it’s been up and running for years. Please don’t let this place fall like so many other small businesses. It had an amazing light and almost pastry like coating. California rolls were very good and the main course was the hibachi shrimp. It was a pile of large shrimp, mixed veggies and fried rice. My wife had the hibachi chicken. Both were amazing as well as our delightful server Kimberly. About the only thing they could improve on is the signage. Go to the back of the strip mall and look for the section with green trim around the windows. We had all the above and a soda and a tip for $50. For the quality and amount of food, that is a great deal.

You can tell they were properly made.Prices on the food were really acceptable. It’s not like sushi places and sometimes have expensive sushi. Comment: Ive gotten takeout from here a few times prior to my dine in experience and Ill kind of spell out what most people might already have experienced.- Most ramen bowls they offer use Miso broth, competitors like Nudo use bone broth. Not that its bad, its just different. The egg almost every time ive gotten a ramen bowl here was fully cooked and not soft boiled. I will say their katsu chicken was pretty good.- Their rice is well presented, but a few times ive gotten eggshell in mine. Again, Ill chalk this up to being new and still trying to get thru orders as fast as possible.- The dine in experience was kind of inattentive, it wasnt clear who our server was; as that person was really just taking orders with the kitchen delivering to tables.- Sushi was ok, our rolls had dry seaweed.. Usually a sign the rice they used was a bit dry. Fish quality was pretty good.- Hibachi seem to be really inconsistent in portions... My son ordered salmon hibachi, and he literally got a sliver of salmon and a huge portion of egg fried rice. We called their card on it, and they brought out a bigger piece of salmon than what they sent on the plate. Albeit 20 minutes after he was pretty much done eating.- They forgot our boba teas, it took reminding them.For now, its safe to say Im cooling it on this place, they arent bad... but they have some quality control issues and ordering problems that seem to keep them from really being good.

Comment: TL;DR - This place is great!Im not gonna lie, I was a little iffy about coming here at first because I was like, sushi AND ramen AND hibachi, all-in-one place, right in the middle of Hazelwood, of all places? Theres no way its going to be good quality or good service. But man, I was wrong. I was blown away at how great the food was and how welcoming the service was!Whenever Im checking out a place for the first time, I usually go for the servers favorite choices (they work there, theyll know whats good) and I was right to do it here too! - I had the most fire [Beef Shoyu] Ramen and [Red Hawk] Sushi roll! My brother tried the Ichiraku Ramen and the Ocean Roll! 🍥🍜🍣As far as the service goes, both the waitress and the owner made the experience so welcoming! Our waitress (Zaira!) was super consistent in checking on how we were doing, if we needed refills, and how the food was - even with all the tables she was already helping! She also helped me decide what to order and I can happily say I had no regrets! - Thanks again for the [Mango] milk tea (with boba) recommendation! #CleanCupClub #CleanBowlClub 🤤💖I had my reservations on how the food quality vs the price was going to be but, after chatting with the owner (Andy!), I found out that they actually make most (if not all) of their dishes in-house - including the process of cooking their braised pork belly through a 5-hour process! I also learned that they get their fish (and other products) from family contacts in Chicago and Japan. Honestly, I was worried that this place was going to be another fresh-from-the-freezer-aisle-served-straight-to-your-table type of place but I was so wrong. I got the vibe that the owner was the type of dude who genuinely enjoys what he does and takes pride in what he makes. 💪💪Overall, it was a really great experience; I can easily declare that Ill be regularly going to Kasabi on a regular basis! 👉👈💖Thanks again for the great first experience, Zaira + Andy! Well be back to try the Takoyaki, the Truffle Roll, and the Tonkotsu Ramen, as promised! 🙈

Comment: This place is tucked away in a little strip mall next to a liquor store and newly renovated laundromat. I had lunch there today I ordered two rolls. One veggie and one baked eel roll. Both of them were delicious and served promptly by courteous staff. They had a very nice selection of sushi and other foods.

Comment: I have been here twice and got the ramen.Edit: The owner had a good conversation with my cousin and I about the restaurant. I was happy to see how excited he was about opening the place. They have One Piece inspired/themed rolls and the pork Tonkatsu ramen is fire!!!

Comment: Fantastic place to eat. The interior is modest and sophisticated, lovely atmosphere. The service was great, the chefs and servers were pleasant and very informative about menu options. The food was to die for! Hands down the best ramen Ive had in my entire life. I need an IV Drip of the broth in the Ichiraku Ramen. The tuna mango tataki was phenomenal, it almost melts in your mouth. The Hibachi chicken along with the noodles and veggies were cooked to perfection. The crab rangoon were amazing, flaky and sweet yet savory. The dipping sauce for them is spicy and sweet which I love. All in all, it was a very enjoyable eating experience. I will definitely be stopping by very often in the future!

Comment: So so happy that we now have a GREAT sushi and hibachi restaurant here in Hazelwood! My boyfriend and I tried the Crab Rangoon, Red Hawk Roll, and then both steak and chicken hibachi entrees. Everything was so good and I will definitely be back quite often. They might have one of my new favorite Crab Rangoons so I definitely suggest trying them. Servers were very nice and everything was out with great timing.

Comment: I am beyond thrilled to have a Sushi restaurant in Hazelwood. The sushi is excellent, service is fantastic and prices are on par with any other sushi restaurant Ive been to. If sushi isnt your thing...check out the hibachi or Ramen. I wish this restaurant years of success!!

Comment: Had a great meal -- ordered the Hibachi Steak and Crush/Deep Fried Roll.The fried rice was a little bit salty, but the beef was tender, very tasty and the seasoning on it was well balanced. The vegetables were nicely cooked. The Crush/Deep Fried Roll is a must try.The service was great -- friendly and accommodating. This place only recently opened.Looking forward to our next visit.

Our apps were MIA until we questioned but our rolls were amazing. There’s around 8 tables total in the place with frequent missing orders and mixups, with people always waiting for an open table. Takeout from here might be better for now in my opinion - BP

Comment: First time there and I must say the food was the bomb!. The staff very friendly and very attentive. The walking distance is a few feet away which saves me gas lol. Over all I recommend this place!
