Comment: I walked here for lunch today to try Papa Shih (but its closed) so had a small PokeDoke bowl instead. I havent been here since they moved (from across the street). Glad to see service has improved, nice attentive staff and food tastes good. Its a little hard to read the menu (at the top of the ceiling) thankfully they have the menu posted at the order counter as well. Only annoyance was that they dont put as much food in the small bowl as they used to. However, still pretty filling. I will come back.

Comment: I Like this place a lot for poke. The quality is fresh and they offer different portion sizes. Even with all the add ons and modifications, they do a good job getting the order correct 97% of the time.I have noticed how drastically their prices rose in the past 2 years. Which is both expected and a bummer because half the meal is rice. So everything but the fish is rather inexpensive. Plus most of the stuff is raw so no real preparation is needed. Other than maybe some quick Mandoline work or putting things through a food processor with attachment.I do wish the bowls were more long instead of tall. Because the style is more of a cup, the distribution of the ingredients leaves you eating through to find the rice and ultimately ending with a ton of rice at the bottom once all the stuff is gone.I don’t mind paying the price increase but for that, they should really make presentation a priority.

Comment: People are friendly. Service is good. Problem with the rice.Ordered a lunch with white rice, which has a bunch of dried clumps that are hard (some not eatable). We cook and eat rice a lot at home. This type of dried clumps usually happens when the rice is kept in the cooker (under the Keep Warm condition) for too many hours , or the cover of the cooker is left open resulting in the surface layer to dry out. If the former, it implies the rice is left-over from last night. If the latter, it suggests the restaurant does not have a protocol for the quality/taste of the rice, or the protocol is not being followed.To be clear, I am not comparing the quality of a fast food chain against a high-end Japanese restaurant. I am talking about the very basics that the food should be fresh and eatable. It is a disappointment for a restaurant with Japanese/Hawaiian flavor which considers the freshness of ingredients and quality of rice essential.

The ahi tuna in the PokeDoke Bowl tasted fresh and I like how the fish was chilled rather than at room temperature. The ShrimpTastic bowl had cute tiny shrimps. Both bowls were filling as there was a good amount of rice at the bottom.

Comment: Been here three times in the past three days, the poke is excellent! Super generous portions, and they have all the toppings you could want to choose from. No masago shortage here. My boyfriend loves the kani salad too. Such a wide selection of yummy beverages and the combo deal with help you satisfy both sweet and salty cravings. Perfectly refreshing dish for the warmer weather. Exactly what I gravitate towards when I’m craving something sushi adjacent but want to actually be fulfilled for less than sushi prices nearby. Service with a smile, too—everyone is very kind and helpful if you are overwhelmed by the choices! My favorite spot on UWS so far, and there are plenty within a few block radius of this place lol!

When PokeDoke first opened, I had never heard of poke and was skeptical of fish in the Midwest, but a friend and I tried it and I they had me hook, line, and sinker. The octopus is a great non-standard protein option and they have a wide variety of great toppings. The dumpling and wonton sides are also great. I have tried poke subsequently in many other cities and PokeDoke is still my #1. One of the things I miss most about St. Louis!

Today, I have officially found THE BEST poke bowl Ive EVER had anywhere! I ordered the Reg. Build Your Own Bowl, Shrimp Chips and Bubble Tea (Green Tea w/Boba - yes, it was Matcha Green Tea😏). After building my bowl, it came out to about $15 (Reg $13) and I was hoping 🙏🏽it was worth it because this meal was waaay more than I would usually spend on lunch. When I say the bowl was packed out, so fresh, accurate and delicious?!😋🍲 I was struggling to finish it and I have a pretty healthy appetite. Of course you dont really want to save food like this for later so I did eventually finish it but I was beyond satisfied w/the taste, the freshness, the portion and the ease of ordering online. Ive never had Shrimp Chips but I quickly realized these suckers are potentially addictive especially w/some Spicy Mayo (dont judge me😒). The Bubble Tea was also really good and refreshing. I loved that the cup was perfectly sealed considering the pandemic. All in all, if you love sushi/fresh fish and youre in the CWE, go to PokeDoke for a healthy, fresh, satisfying lunch/dinner! You WILL NOT be sorry!!

When I order with friends, sometimes someone will have a bowl nearly filled, while the other has way less when they got the same amount of toppings. I’m not asking for anything perfect, but paying extra and getting less than can be pretty frustrating, especially considering the pricing. Also, forgot my avocado which was an extra $2 :(. Comment: Every person in my (six person ) family (all who have preferences) enjoyed PokeDoke! Delectable fish, lovely seasonings, and perfectly portioned. The regular size (with rice, or half rice/salad) was filling for the adults and teens in our family. The younger kids had a small (non spicy)dish and loved eel sauce with mango, pineapple, cucumber, and carrots with their choices of protein scoops. Our family of six will have to make this a special occasion treat, given limited finances (and adding avocado seemed very overpriced). However, the cost was appropriate given the high quality of each dish.Additionally, we ordered curbside during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the employees were terrific: dressed carefully with masks and gloves, distanced appropriately, while remaining positive verbally and nonverbally. I was impressed with their detail to preventative directives, while also practicing hospitality during a challenging time.

I placed my order and she called me right back to mack sure that I I was coming at the suggested time so my fiod would be hot. When I got there I couldnt find a spot so Ashley ran it out to me and kept a safe distance. They were truly professional during this tough time, and made my experience super pleasant. Comment: As we all know there is only carry out and delivery. We had to pick up my fiances last check from Toms and decide to grab lunch whole we were out. We saw this place and began to look at the menu that was posted on the glass. Then decided it looked great and headed in. The manager told us they were open but we could jot have our dog inside. We said no problem we would just decide what we wanted and then come back inside. He actually came out to us and took our order. He made some amazing recommendations as well. When I say the service was great it was great and the food is even better. Tha k you for allowing us to have a great first time experience. We hope to come back again.

One build my own poke bowl I had delivered had salmon in it but tasted slimy and did not seem fresh compared to recent orders. I decided to give up on poke doke for a few weeks then chose to give it another go. I again ordered the same bowl I always get and once delivered had the completely wrong sauce on it. I was directed by one of the employees on the phone I had to contact postmates to fix the issue, however after submitting my concern through the website I was offered less than half the amount I spent on the order itself. Very unhappy with both services and out money on a restaurant i came to highly recommend. Bad service on poke doke and postmates.

One girl was helping another customer and the other was cashing someone else out. So a gentleman came from the back. They dont have a kids size but he immediately offered an additional bowl so I could split the bowl between my daughter and myself.We got a large noodle bowl with spicy tuna, ahi tuna, shrimp and octopus medium spicy. He passed us off to the first young lady who had a great attitude. Additional toppings of green onions, avocado, masago, seaweed salad, and crab topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Then she passed us off to the last young lady who was also pleasant and helpful.The bowl was yummy, noodles are now my favorite base. The seafood options had a great taste and texture. My only not so great point was the Thai Boba Tea. The boba has a great taste and texture but the tea was pretty bland and not as creamy as im use to. But we will be back it was a great experience.

Comment: I have been to PokeDoke twice within the past monthand plan to visit again in the very near future. Their staff are warm, especially the owner. The ingredients are always fresh and super tasty. The first time I went I had suggestions from the staff on things to add and my dish turned out super delicious! The second time I was more prepared and equally satisfied. If you love all things seafood, I recommend the Ahi Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Squid, and Shrimp. Just thinking about all of this makes me drool!! I think next time I will mix up my add-ins a little bit more. I also recommend adding masago, spicy mayo, eel sauce and some sesame seeds! If you’re considering going to this place, go now!

Comment: This used to be my favorite poké place in St. Louis, but quality has really gone downhill in the last few months. I mean, this place was totally comparable to the poké I tried all over Hawai’i and I loved it. But ivr noticed recently that some of the fish tastes like it’s been sitting out for maybe a bit too long (the salmon and tuna), they don’t have the little fried garlic slivers anymore and done of the other classic toppings, and they skimp on portions & tell you it’s an extra charge to get the same amount of ingredients that they used to put in your bowl. That being said, the spicy tuna and drizzle selections are the saving graces here. Otherwise, the competitor poké places (and yes, there are a few in STL now!) aren’t too far of a drive.

Comment: I really wanted to give 5 stars because the food is so amazing. I would eat here just about every day if I could. I love the ahi tuna, all the toppings and drizzles you can get. I tried the octopus, but it was rather tough.The reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the staff were very confused and disorganized. They werent even sure which sauce was which. It took a while to get my order together. I would definitely go back, the food is so good that it far outweighs the sub-par service.

Comment: Quick, tasty, reasonably priced, not too busy, and friendly staff. For what theyre doing here, it all makes sense. Theyve got bubble tea, too! The location can be a pain for parking, but thats how all CWE locations are.Seems like, with this setup, theres a chance an inexperienced person might choose some options that wouldnt pair well together. I wish they had some preset options for people who wanted a good meal with any decisions.

Weve been wanting to try this place for months only bad part is my son will be so jealous when he finds out what he wasnt there to try it with us since finding out they had octopus great options filling portions and one of the best parts was the service for a fast casual restaurant people there were friendly thoughtful and checked on as often, especially Miss Kahyrah at the counter. We will return.. . If nothing else Im sure my husband will want to rematch after I beat him in Scrabble

Comment: I dont know who made my poke bowl because I ordered it on postmates.. BUT whoever was working on 7/11/2018 at approx 3pm made the most beautiful poke bowl Ive ever seen. I order this same dish basically every day but this is the best day of my life because it is the best poke bowl and its all because of the person who made it so beautifully. Comment: Im really glad I gave this place a second chance. My first experience was not super because of the customer service. When as a first timer I asked what do you recommend, what are your favorite toppings?, The response from the unenthusiastic employee was an eye roll accompanied by I dunno, you dont have to put anything in it. I asked a couple more questions but I was feeling like I was just an annoyance to the employee. On The other hand, I did hear a different employee explain some things to the people behind me in line and her explaination was very clear and friendly so I know there is good customer service if you get the right person! I wasnt really impressed with my bowl but since its create your own I really blame myself and lack of knowledge of the ingredients. I tried again after doing some research on poke and made myself a wonderfully delicious poke bowl and have eaten pokedoke many times since. However I have only used a food delivery service since the first time so I havent had any more experience with the customer service.

Comment: Based on the range of seafood, and their quality customer service 6 months ago, I wish I could give this place a better rating. As it is, I also wish that they occasionally served rice that didnt have the texture of either uncooked gravel or soggy oatmeal, that their boba tea tasted remotely like boba tea, and that they didnt try to make up for their tiny scoop sizes with too much sauce. In general, this is the Starbucks of sushi bowl place, with tiny serving sizes.

Comment: Excellent, cheap, and fast poke. Very reasonable prices for very high quality ingredients. Very wide variety of sauces and mix in ingredients to enhance your bowl. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The regular sized bowl is about $13 including tax and will keep you full for hours and hours!

I am a volunteer for Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA) and was looking for donations from local businesses on Euclid. I was about to give up when I came into PokeDoke and talked to one of the owners, Andrew. He was extremely generous, and the only place on Euclid that helped me come closer to reaching my fundraising goal for Team DASA in the Go! St Louis Annual Run. Comment: AMAZING all around. I was ordering lunch for my company with a larger order (~12 folks) and was worried about how complicated it might be, but I wanted to support a newer local STL business. I called and asked if doing a lunch order was possible, and Andrew and the whole team were so on top of everything. Everyone was super helpful and patient, and the logistics were explained perfectly. The food arrived early, the deliveryperson was just the best, and the food orders were even neatly labeled by name. I cant remember the last time I had such a perfectly flawless ordering experience. Im actually getting a little emotional thinking about how stress-free this whole experience was.And, of course, most importantly, the food was on point. Im so happy that poke is getting the love it deserves here, and PokeDoke does it so well. The value you get for the quantity and quality of a poke bowl is excellent, and theres also such a great range of toppings to choose from. (If youve never tried octopus, go for it. Also, seaweed salad as a topping is a must.)Do yourself a favor and next time youre in the CWE, stop by PokeDoke.
