Comment: I am just learning to like Sushi, so I cant give five stars, but I really like this place. The happy hour menu is really a great value, and my wife always orders me the various tuna dishes and I love them. Get the one with the jalapeno on top in sauce. The atmosphere is great, and they even have two tvs turned on to sports if you are afraid of missing a game. Plus, you can walk down cool Tennyson Street before or after. Get a big Sappora and some Sake to wash it all down. Recommend.Adding to review, since we went today for lunch.We had the lunch special today and it was a great deal. $15 for LOTS of food, including the sushi, salad, and soup. The servers are always so nice here, and the experience is always great. This is a cute little place located on the very fun Tennyson Street. Good stop to make if in the area. I only give it a 4 because I think they could up the atmosphere a little and perhaps have a few more specials during the week, but it is like a 4.4 and rounding down. Definitely recommend and see you there.

Comment: Ive had many experiences at this restaurant from dining in, pickup, and even doordash as a driver. Every experience has been below average in each experience. When dining in the customer service is mediocre and almost feels like youre a burden to them. When looking at the menu its about your average prices for the type of dishes and sushi rolls but when you see the presentation and eat the food it isnt anything that grabs your full attention. The food was either bland or overly seasoned and the rolls were way smaller than expected (especially for the price). When it comes to ordering ahead or doordash be prepared to wait a good 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how busy they are. Ive ordered ahead twice and had to wait at least 20 minutes and when picking up orders for doordash Ive waited anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes and have been treated rudely and have even been forgotten about. Definitely would avoid this restaurant for any experience.

We had all you can eat sushi at 35 dollars a person and could only get through what would have normally been our first round anywhere else. The rice on each sushi piece was outrageous. It was clear they were trying to fill us up on rice. We complained and the waitress said, Yea, I can see that is a lot. Ill say something, dont worry about it. And then she proceeded to charge us extra for the rice we didnt eat. We didnt even order a second round. There is no way we would have paid that much if we had ordered off the regular menu for what we ate. Dont waste your time or money on all you can eat here. Sushi Katsu in Denver is only 15 dollars a person for lunch and the quality and portions are ten times better.

The night we were there, the salmon was, in particular, among the best weve had.And to do all that for the prices they ask is incredible. Exceptionally reasonable, we were shocked at the bill when we finished - easily 25% less than we would have expected elsewhere.One caveat: dont go if youre in a hurry.Service is a little sluggish, and you have to occasionally prompt waitstaff to get attention. That said, its friendly enough when you do get service.We suggest getting a seat in the upper level, near the sushi bar, if youre not at the bar itself.Food prep focuses on quality vs. quantity so expect a wait, especially on large orders or if several other orders arrive about the same time.

Comment: Ive only been once, and as I sit, staring at my unfinished sushi, I write this brief review. Sushi Bay is wonderful. The service has been wonderful and the sushi was amazing. I mean sushi, not the rolls everyone likes to misinterpret for sushi these days. The rolls were also good. The food came fast and the super white tuna was some of the best Ive ever had. If you like sushi, try Sushi Bay.

Comment: Ive been going to Sushi Bay for the past 2 years. I used to really love this place and today (Friday evening) stopped in with my husband for dinner. We last ate at Sushi Bay about 6 months ago. Almost immediately, we noticed the change in atmosphere. The place was more crowded than usual, all the staff was new, with the exception of the owner. We sat at the bar as usual and watched the sushi chefs make orders. Presentation wasnt as elaborate as before when the previous sushi chef was there. The rolls are also noticeably smaller, less rice, less sashimi, smaller servings. The prices have remained the same.The place was almost completely full and incredibly busy. The chefs were making tons of to-go orders and dine-in orders. We waited quite a while before our order was taken. My salad was drenched in ginger dressing and consisted of iceberg lettuce and two slices of tomatoes. In past experiences, the salad consisted of cherry tomatoes, carrots, and iceberg lettuce. When our rolls arrived, I was disappointed at the lack of presentation and smaller serving sizes. Dont think Ill be coming back here again, the change is a little too drastic for me.

Comment: Our family (and myself, alone, almost as often) frequents this sushi spot more than any other. The sushi is always fresh and it is one of two places around town that my sweet 9-year-old will eat her own California roll and a couple pieces of my salmon roll. The service is stellar, always. The happy hour will point you to the funnest special rolls and be a mellow place to enjoy some rice beer.I have to reiterate: the service is stellar. On the off chance that something goes wrong ( 1 time in almost 3 years ) they will accommodate your discomfort. Seriously, the best experience every time.

Comment: This is the best value for Sushi I’ve been to in Denver. Not a whole lot of hype or excess when you are looking for an efficient, affordable and high quality Sushi experience. This place really takes a lot of pretension out of a Sushi experience and brings it back to quality, modesty and a quiet, enjoyable time. With a great happy hour and a killer all you can eat sushi deal on Sundays, this is easily my favorite Sushi place in Denver. All the quality that you’ll find with Sushi Sasa, Sushi Den or Sushi Hai without the long waits, annoying crowds or high cost.
