Comment: Left is the Spicy Omega Roll! Im a fan of this roll, I typically just get spicy salmon then saw this one glad I tried it out. I will be coming back for two more of those bad boys! On the Right my wife ordered the Caterpillar Roll and she absolutely loved it !!! She wants to go back and get two more. Highly recommend these two Rolls. Looking forward to dining in.

Comment: Everything was amazingly good. I am a big sushi fan and this was top notch for lunch. Well priced, delicious and a fun, modern atmosphere. Try the Bushido sake. The stuffed jalapenos were amazing. Lots of attention to detail in the food. Presentation, flavor, texture, just wow.

Comment: Pretty good sushi and great deals on Tuesdays. Order here often. But, last visit my four year old son was thirsty and the bar staff literally told me I cant give water to children. I didnt have time to determine if this was a terrible policy of management or just poor judgement by the staff. But honestly. Youre standing behind a full service bar with maybe three customers and cant pour some water into a glass or offer any other suggestion for a thirsty child. Not family friendly!

Comment: This was one of the most horrid food experiences Ive had in Missouri.Im from Chesterfield but moved away 10 years ago and brought my mother back to one of our favorite places, Wasabi.We sat at the bar as there was a wait for tables. We ordered and got the sushi on a platter. One of the rolls was wrong. I quickly told the server and she made movements with her hands as if she was looking for something to scoop the roll off of the platter and alas.. Ended up SCOOPING IT WITH HER DIRTY BARE HANDS.I am in absolute shock, being a restaurantuer... I didnt want to cause a scene in front of my mother. We immediately stopped eating and asked for the check as we were in a hurry.I contacted the restaurant over the phone, talked to the manager and they said they were going to send out some vouchers through email.I never got them. Here I am over a year later posting this review because they think they can email market to me without resolution for this horrid experience.

Had some people with me that werent familiar with Japanese food so I wanted them to enjoy the venturing beyond their normal tastes. The food fell short of my hopes. I ordered Teriyaki beef and after one bite I stopped and declined it. Ive roamed the West Coast and my experience with this dish has been a completely different taste than what I was served. The service was excellent - no complaints there but - thats my last venture to WS Bar.

But I ordered from here and called back and received above excellent customer service from Anthony who helped add things I needed to my order because I didn’t know how. And Alyssa the manager was who I spoke to when I called and told her how much I enjoyed the service and food from this establishment!! I’m from Dallas Texas and I wish we had sushi this good!! Will DEFINITELY be returning for not only the food- but the wonderful and very helpful staff as well!! Seriously enjoyed everything!!!! This place is so good and I’m a very satisfied customer! Im giving it 1 star now, you can see what the food was like once upon a time.This place clearly has gone through changes in the past year or so. All the waiters seemed new and inexperienced. But most importantly, the sushi itself was flavorless. The only rolls that were good had lots of sauce or extra helpers--it becomes clear that the fish itself isnt as good as what you can get at other places.The teriyaki chicken was also mediocre. The chef should start using dark meat, so the chicken isnt so dry.The lava cake was also fairly mediocre--the chocolate sauce was Hersheys.I would not come back, especially when there are so many other great sushi places in the area. Its really a shame.--Old Review:Ive been to Wasabi several times now and the sushi is always delicious. Most recently, I went with my girlfriend and we had a great time. The sushi was top notch and my tonkatsu entree was great. The miso soup was a bit too salty, but otherwise the food was filling and yummy. Our waitress, Tabitha, was also fantastic--attentive, cordial, professional. She took good care of us.The sushi is mid to high range in price so, sushi rolls range about $11-15 generally. Entrees are similar price. Worth it to go every now and then for sure!

Comment: They have been very good with COVID precautions, they are just now getting back to allowing about 50% dinning. Everything was clean and spaced appropriately. The food itself was just, okay. I ordered edamame and a good portion of it was pretty ice cold. I ordered a Dragons Breath Roll thinking the flaming plate would oooh and awe me, however had to giggle a little because the presentation reminded me of a flaming something else. E for effort though. Dont recommend getting it rolled in the forbidden rice as is was very hard and grainy. The other roll I got was the yummy roll, however it fell apart quite easily. It was more of a Poke bowl experience with that roll than a roll. Nice wait staff, a little slow even though they are not at capacity but perhaps that was due to a smaller staff because of the restrictions. Not a bad experience, but I was hoping for a little something more.

We even looked into our nigiri and none to be found there either. Why we didnt ask the waiter for some, you may wonder. Well, we would if we could. The server, while friendly, disappeared after setting our food down and didnt come back until we finished. This was on a Monday night, mind you, not busy by any standard. Redeeming point is the bogo night on Monday, and $6 roll on Tuesday. Unfortunately its hard to consider a second time given the food and service we experienced.

There are definitely distinct takes on classic rolls while still trying to remain faithful to the seafood and not overpowering the flavor. Comment: They had one poor guy who was greeting,seating, and taking orders. Also one sushi chef. It was pretty clear that they were horribly understaffed as the table next to mine wanted to know where their food was and complained that they had been waiting for a half hour. Im still waiting as I write this, lol. There are lots of to-go order pickups (at least 5 in the 40 min Ive been here) so maybe that is the problem. Either way, I wouldnt come back. Edited to one star. Its been an hour. There are maybe 3 other tables. This is pretty horrible.

Comment: Wow, great place to eat, especially if you have food allergies. My son is severely allergic to dairy and nuts and we are away from home eating out is such an ordeal. We called ahead and they said there was no problem accommodating our needs. The manager, Eric, was especially great to our family. My son loved his food and he could eat without fear! Comment: Pretty sure they don’t start making to-go orders until you get there and pay. I called at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon, was quoted 25 minutes. Got there, paid, and then proceeded to wait another 15 minutes while they made my order. I finally went in to ask about it and complain that I had been waiting and the manager tried to make up for it. However the sushi itself was probably some of the worst quality I’ve had - it was flavorless and made my stomach hurt immediately after. Will not be returning.

We ended up waiting another 30 minutes to get our food after arriving (a total of 55 minutes since placing the call). Plus, when we got it home (less than 10 minutes away) everything that was supposed to be warm was soggy and cold and they had given me the wrong roll. After several slow as molasses visits to this location, we will not be returning.

The sushi is excellent (and not just for Midwest sushi, its really that good) and Happy Hour specials mean you can get your fill without spending an arm and a leg. They closed in the faces of us and our elderly parents half an hour early, claiming they didnt have our verified reservation. I dont believe them. I think they were dead and wanted to go home.Later, at 9:02, we got an email thanking us for canceling our reservation. Obviously, they dont care, but they lost a regular good tipping customer in my sister.Fortunately for us, House of India was only five minutes down the road, and gave us great food and great service, even though they close at the same time.

Comment: We have dinner here at least once a month, sometimes with a group of 5 or more. The food is consistently fresh and well presented. The waitstaff always recognizes us, drinks are very good and first course usually arrives quickly. We do sometimes seem to wait a bit for main courses, but that may be because we are often with a larger group. But, that said, we rarely have an order error or omission - usually worth the wait. We prefer this Wasabi location over other sushi restaurants (including other Wasabis) in the STL area. Easily accessible street parking and an ample parking lot just up the block.
