Comment: Extremely disappointed. Usually Wasabi is very tasty. Today my chicken teriyaki combo was not what I was expecting. My vegetables were withered and my rice looked liked it was over-cooked in the pan and was a big glob of mess. Very disappointing

Comment: I went here years ago and it was great. This time I ordered a bento box with beef. 40 minutes later I got a bento box with chicken. Didnt complain because I didnt want to wait 40 more minutes. The chicken, vegetables and rice were cold, and the chicken was tough.

Comment: Sushi rolls are scrumptious, especially on Feast Friday, when all rolls are $6. Service is variable -- hard to pin down. Host and server were both friendly and helpful, but not always around when we needed something. Regardless, we would definitely visit again!

Comment: As a Wasabi rewards member, our experiences have declined over our past few visits. This evening, the chef was wonderful and notified the server that our food was ready. However, our food was not served and kept being walked past by the server. When the server realized our appetizer had not been served and our food was ready, our edamame was quickly served, incorrectly quickly followed by our order that had been ready for 10 minutes. Order also was not as advertised. The rolls prepared by the chef were tasty but everything else was beyond lacking.

Comment: The sushi here is always decent, however the service is hit or miss. If you have the time to sit down its fine but if you order for carry out on a short lunch? Not so much.Today I ordered two rolls. The hostess told me it would be about 15min so I decided to sit down and have a drink, had the hostess put it on my bill, and she headed back to let the bartender know he had a customer. However, after 20min of waiting at the bar no one came by to actually pour the drink so I had the 5 star hostess remove it from my bill and left with my rolls. Kitchen? 10/10 Hostess? 10/10 Bartender? 0/10.

Comment: The selection is amazing, though a wee bit pricey (but worth it). My friend and I came in 10 minutes early and when we did end up getting seated, I ordered a large sake and he ordered tea. He couldnt figure out how to get the tea thing to pour without pouring in the leaves as well, and ended up examining the cup only to find that pressing the bottom of it results in a very large mess. He got his order while i was waiting around drinking sake for awhile, but I wasnt really worried about my order. I waited about 40 minutes for my bento box and got another 22 oz. beer with it. They felt so bad about me having to wait that I got my Sake, Beer, and Bento Box Absolutely free!Note: If you go here, the place is pretty legit even if you have to pay, but try to show up 10 minutes before they open, spill your tea trying to figure out the device, if youre with another person - have a Different waiter take your order after your friends is already taken, and you Might just be able to reproduce the amazing free meal that I got.

Comment: While none of the food here was a disappointment, I think this restaurants ratings (currently 4.4 avg) are influenced by its Washington St location more than taste. For a better idea of what the ratings should be for this restaurant, look at the ratings for the other Wasabi locations in town (3.8, 3.9, 4.3). I think those ratings are a better match for the food at this Washington St location.My wife and I wanted to come here after eating at Café Mochi last week. Café Mochis ratings are 4.3 with almost the exact same number of reviewers. So naturally we expected Wasabis sushi to be just a tad better than Café Mochis. But that wasnt the case.The Wasabi menu has a LOT of items on it! But I noticed that almost all the sushi roll offerings were simply different combinations of the same three ingredients, or with a different accent item. That in itself isnt a bad thing of course. But the scope of the menu belies the actual variety available to the pallet.The flavor of the sushi at Café Mochi popped in our mouths, whereas the sushi at this Wasabi location were simply, OK. We had the Fox, Philadelphia, and Central Ave. rolls. We also had a Salmon hand roll, and an assortment of their Nigiri sushi. As mentioned earlier, none of it was a disappointment but we expected better given its current 4.4 rating - thats all.The wait staff was SUPERB. The hostess was charming and very nice with us as we arrived a couple minutes early before the restaurant opened. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. And the rest of the table staff were also genuinely friendly and very good at promoting a satisfying experience. Only if the food lived up to the 4.4 rating.
